Studies
have shown that intermittent low frequency sound can, and does have a stimulating
effect on one's behind. Jake's goal as a musician, and bassist is to do
just that: Move one's behind.
Influenced by players such as Chris Wood, Bill Laswell, Aston "Family
Man" Barrett, Bootsy Collins, and the low end rumblings of electronic
music, He takes the "less is more" approach to the instrument,
creating supportive lines while retaining a unique style, and musical
character all his own.
Jake Dempsey has been gigging since the age of 15, and has had experience
playing, and touring with several groups, including regional favorites,
Rhesus,
The Non Profits, Kevin Selfe and the Tornadoes,
and The Sol Creech Band. Jake plays Warwick, and Fender Basses, Eden, and
Bag End amplification, and Moog,
Line 6, Boss,
and MXR
